Hailing from the UK Essa is a highly versatile progressive house Dj with a vast musical knowledge that dates back as far as the early 80s, where his love for electronic music began. Influenced from an early age by electronic groups such as New Order, Depeche Mode, Tears For Fears and The Pet Shop Boys it wasn’t long before his attention was drawn to the sounds of acid house.
House music runs deep within Essa’s roots finding himself naturally gravitating towards the sound of artists the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Dave Seaman, Nick Warren and Darren Emerson to name just a few. Artists that would help mould his progressive music style fused with melodic vocals, acidic synths and heavy techno bass lines as he honed his craft over two decades.
Essa’s passion is the driving force behind his obsession to share his love for electronic music which shines through in abundance during his high octane performances.
Resident at Saturo Sounds and curator of ‘A Drug Called Music’, with shows spanning across Europe and beyond from Leeds to London. España to Egypt. Greece and the Netherlands. Essa is no stranger to being behind the controls of the dancefloor.
