The 37th Saturo Sounds release presents Vagner Silveira, an emergent Brazilian producer who makes his debut on the label with the “Progressivo” EP.
Vagner crafts the album with 4 distinct tracks, “Balance” being the opening track. Full-on vibe focused on the underground scene, it is very reminiscent of the roots of the progressive house style, with a striking bassline and kick, which together with synths and pads, generate a mysterious atmosphere, causing curiosity about what is to come.
“Growing” is the second track on the album. With a softer, but striking melody throughout its development, it straddles the line between organic and progressive house perfectly.
The third track, “Nightlife”, is full of percussions, pads and a melody that invokes both mystery and aggressiveness, and has the potential to be the stand-out on the album.
“Progressivo” is the EP’s titular track. With an intense bass, combined with a hypnotic melody, energetic low-end and powerful percussive elements, “Progressivo” is pure groove and will certainly not leave anyone wanting.
